Sepideh Moayed

Dr. Sepideh Moayed concurrently serves as the CEO of Preventative Medicine. As a radiologist, she has spent more than two decades observing various patterns of disease and the myriad ways and age groups it involves. She has long been interested in health and the prevention of disease and not mere diagnosis. Her company, Preventative Medicine, aims to look for root causes of disease and not symptoms and signs. Patients who struggle with chronic diseases such as diabetes, emphysema, depression, and use disorder, are educated about the inflammation cascades that aggravate disease states. She helps them optimize their health and obtain the ideal nature nurture equilibrium. As the previous medical director at Mirage Imaging Center in Los Gatos, CA, she had the opportunity to interact with patients. As a Northern California radiologist, she practiced at medical facilities such as El Camino Hospital, Regional Medical Center of San Jose, and VRI. She specializes in Musculoskeletal radiology and enjoys a personalized interaction with patients who benefit from her endless fund of knowledge when it comes to disease prevention and chronic pain. Dr. Moayed completed her radiology residency at the University of Maryland and is fellowship trained in MSK radiology.

She been a parent volunteer with the Palo Alto Unified School District since 2014. As a radiologist, she has been alarmed by the irreversible and fatal manifestations of lung injury associated with the use of E-cigarettes or vaping and has hosted multiple educational sessions focused on prevention of nicotine dependence and vaping. She is determined to reach and help as many young people as possible when it comes to nicotine and marijuana-both legal substances. Youth are often confused by the mixed messages they see in social circles and the media. “Their curiosity and thirst for knowing is remarkable and unprecedented.” She considers herself a perpetual student in the school of life. Lately, she says, her greatest teachers have been her teenagers, who “show me and teach me constantly and daily”. Aristotle has said, “Those who know, do. Those that understand, teach”. She opens her mind and heart to what these brilliant young minds know in order to truly understand.
